The Robert C. Hahn Dedicated Scout Award was conceived in the early 1990’s.  Several leaders thought it would be appropriate to honor Bob for his many years of meritorious service and dedication, not only to the Scouting program, but to his church, community, civic organizations and family.  This award was designed so that the award may be presented to either an adult or youth scouter who met the high standards that Robert possesses.  Unlike the C. L. Riley Scout of the Year award, which is given annually, the Robert C. Hahn Dedicated Scout Award is only presented when the Award deems warranted.  His son and previous awardees review annually each scout or scouter as to their service to the troop, school, church, and community.  Interviews are conducted with family, teachers, employees, and friends as to the worthiness of the applicant.  The decision lies with his son and other holders of the award.
